Belleview, Florida--small town life with a very busy firehouse. Located in the heart of the city, Firehouse 18 serves the citizens of Belleview and the surrounding unincorporated Marion County. We average 12 - 15 calls for assistance everyday, responding to assist someone back to their feet or to save their life and property.

Eighteen firefighters working a three shift schedule call Firehouse 18 home every third day. Our shift begins at eight o’clock in the morning and lasts until the next morning at eight o’clock. The station is staffed all day, everyday, even on Christmas.

We are committed to learning; we are instructors and we are students.  Everyone is a Firefighter/EMT with twelve of us trained to the level of a Paramedic. Both our engine and rescue are certified for advanced life support with R18 being a transport unit.  We respond on medical calls to provide life saving aid; no matter what we are doing we respond at a moments notice.

We value tradition, a tradition that focuses on service, sacrifice and commitment. We serve the citizens without fail, doing everything we can to help them in their time of need.

We are willing to sacrifice everything for the chance of saving the ones who can’t save themselves. We sacrifice nights at home with our families to provide consistent service.

We are committed to being the best.

We work for the occasional thank you, but we choose this job because it is a calling. We look forward to each challenge and every shift.
